Choilar Char Tourist Centre
ছৈলারচর পর্যটন কেন্দ্র
The district's least-known official sight — a riverside tourism centre on a char (river island) in Kathalia, named for the choila trees that grow there. River breeze, green all around, a children's play area, swings and riverside walkways. Even locals barely know it — which is exactly the charm: on a weekday the whole char may be yours.
History & significance
Developed as a local tourism centre on the char; the sandy river char nearby is affectionately nicknamed "the island Saint Martin".
How to get there
