Destination guide
DC Eco Park (Talshari), Natuda
ডিসি ইকো পার্ক (তালশহরী), নাটুদহ
A family picnic ground around a century-old mango orchard near Karpasdanga, in the Natuda area. Century-old palmyra palms line the entrance — that's where the name Talshari comes from. Wooden boats on the DC lake, old mango and litchi trees, kids' rides — visitors say come in daylight and you'll love it.
History & significance
The vast mango orchard was created in 1895 by zamindar Nafar Chandra Pal Chowdhury — both name and year come through clearly in accounts. Past the zamindari era, the orchard now lives on as an eco park under district administration.
How to get there
From Chuadanga town head toward Damurhuda upazila — bus/auto to Karpasdanga, then a local rickshaw-van. The road route is the main one; coming from the Meherpur side, going via Karpasdanga is easiest.
