Palli Kabi Jasimuddin's House & Memorial Museum
পল্লীকবি জসিমউদ্দিনের বাড়ি ও স্মৃতিজাদুঘর
The district's flagship sight — the homestead where folk poet Jasimuddin was born in 1903, on the Kumar river bank. The riverside lawn turns festive at dusk; old tin rooms hold his belongings, and the famous dhalim tree from his poem "Kobor" still stands in the yard.
History & significance
Jasimuddin was born here on 1 January 1903 and, after his death in 1976, was buried in the family graveyard beside the house — with his grandfather Samiruddin, father Anasuddin and mother Amena Khatun.
