Destination guide
Kachchhapiya Ghat
কচ্ছপিয়া ঘাট
'Four islands from one ghat' — from this ghat in Dakshin Aicha, Char Fasson, boats leave for Char Kukri Mukri, Char Montaj, Char Patila and Char Tarua, and onward to Sonar Char (the 'poor man's Saint Martin') and Char Hare with its jhau groves and barbecue zones. Mangrove-like forest on both banks, shutki-drying racks, and an estuary sunset — the ghat itself is a sight before the journey even starts.
How to get there
Char Fasson bazaar → Dakshin Aicha bazaar (bus Tk 50, 45 min) → ghat (auto Tk 10, 10–15 min; ~2 km). A reserved auto from the bazaar is Tk 300. From Betua Ghat: bus Tk 50+20 or a reserved CNG for Tk 400. Cars/bikes can park at the madrasa beside the ghat — Tk 50 a day, Tk 100 overnight.

Nazim bhai arranges trawler reservations, tents (Tk 200) and food packages (Tk 900–1,000) from the ghat — set it up by phone ahead.
Only Grameenphone catches signal in the chars, and weakly — carry an offline map and a power bank.
