Kashiani Junction and Bhatiapara Ghat
কাশিয়ানী জংশন ও ভাটিয়াপাড়া ঘাট
Bangladesh's only five-way rail junction — two independent rail travellers agree — 4 km from the Madhumati's Bhatiapara Ghat, with the scenic 92 km, Tk 45 Rajbari Mail passing gorgeous beel-and-paddy country.
History & significance
Old railway heritage: lines from Kalukhali and Bhanga meet at Kashiani, one track heads to Padmabila (Jashore), the Gobra section runs to Gopalganj, the Bhatiapara section to the ghat. Locals also point to a riverside heritage house linked to Girish Chandra Sen — though his documented birthplace is Panchdona, Narsingdi, so treat the claim as folklore.
How to get there
Any Gopalganj-bound train stops at Kashiani; autos cover the 4 km to Bhatiapara from the junction.
Entry fee

Opening hours & best time
Daytime; the ghat is liveliest in the afternoon.
Best time
