Jhalokati Mini Park
ঝালকাঠি মিনি পার্ক
The town's evening living room — on the Sugandha bank east of the Choumatha, this small municipal park fills from the afternoon (mornings belong to the newspaper readers). Pohela Boishakh brings boat races and a Baishakhi fair on the river in front, and the kheya ghat beside it keeps the water life constant. It is small — everyone says so — but for river breeze and people-watching nothing in town beats it.
History & significance
Construction began around 2011 on what had been open riverbank; it has grown into the town's de-facto public square, hosting the new-year boat races.
How to get there
East of the Choumatha on the river — any rickshaw in town knows it, a few minutes from anywhere central. The DC Eco Park sits a little further along the bank, another sunset favourite.

Traveller tips
Do the Choumatha and the entrance Chattar murals in one loop.
Maintenance draws complaints — come for the river and the crowd, not the rides.
Friday evenings are the busiest and liveliest.
