Mahananda Bridge & Rubber Dam
মহানন্দা ব্রিজ ও রাবার ড্যাম
Right beside the district town, the Mahananda Bridge crosses the Mahananda river — and the river holds the country's second-largest rubber dam. An evening boat ride under the bridge, cool breeze and water views is the real draw here. For locals it's the favourite place for an evening stroll.
History & significance
The rubber dam holds back river water for irrigation — it's why the river keeps water even in the dry months. The bridge itself is a named city landmark.
How to get there
An easy rickshaw or CNG ride from Chapainawabganj town — just a few kilometres.
