Next to the zoo, Dhaka's quietest two hundred acres — lakes, a cactus house, orchid and fern houses, a rose garden and bamboo groves. The favourite spot for a genuinely slow morning.
History & significance
Planned from 1961, with its sections, lakes and glasshouses added in stages.
How to get there
Same route as the zoo — rickshaw from Mirpur-1; the gates are adjacent, so both fit one trip.
