Nuhash Palli

নুহাস পল্লী

The estate writer Humayun Ahmed built with his own hands — a mock hill waterfall, a lake, flower gardens and quiet greenery in Pirujali village. The writer's grave is here too. For fans it is a pilgrimage; for everyone else, a peaceful day out — visitors mostly talk about how calm the place feels.

History & significance

Humayun Ahmed built this retreat here, and by his own wish he was laid to rest on its grounds. It now welcomes visitors under his family's care.

How to get there

From Dhaka, take a Mymensingh-bound bus via the Pirujali area. It pairs naturally with a Safari Park trip — same direction. Without your own car or a reserved CNG, check the last-mile options locally before setting out.

Entry fee

৳200 · traveller-reported

Entry is 200 taka; children under 10 are free.

Opening hours & best time

Open only on Friday and Saturday — go any other day and the gate turns you back; several travellers have returned disappointed after learning this the hard way.

Best time

A winter Friday or Saturday is most comfortable. Mornings are quieter.

Traveller tips

  • Pair Safari Park with Nuhash Palli and you cover both in one day.

  • Arrive in the morning to stay ahead of the crowd.
