Destination guide
Patuartek Sea Beach
পাটুয়ারটেক সমুদ্রসৈকত
Six kilometres south of Inani lies a stone beach — not sand but a bank of wave-washed coral boulders; the refrain is unanimous: 'it feels like St. Martin.' Far quieter than the town beach — standing on the rocks listening to the surf is the whole point. Sunset is everyone's favourite.
History & significance
No real history surfaces in the accounts — though one traveller feels the spot has slipped from its 2022 state, and suggests renting the auto only up to Inani to save money.
How to get there
Teknaf-bound buses/microbuses/legunas/CNGs run all day from Dolphin Mor; since you'll want photo stops, reserving a vehicle for the whole Marine Drive is best. Reserved auto 1,000 tk; CNG full day 2,500–4,000 tk; chander gari 3,000–7,000 tk (accounts differ). Bargain before boarding.
Entry fee
৳0 · traveller-reported
Free entry. Chairs 60 tk/hour; horse rides 150 tk (short loop with photos) to 700 tk (full circuit); photographers charge per chosen shot.
Opening hours & best time
No fixed hours; tourists thin out by evening — the ride back to town takes about an hour.
Best time
Midday sun is harsh — late afternoon through sunset is the time.
Traveller tips
Waves exploding on the boulders make for dramatic photos — a popular shot.
Restaurants run 200–350 tk a head; wave-washed shells line up in rows on the sand.
