A graceful 19th-century mansion in Tikatuli, restored by the government and opened to the public in 2025 after decades of decay. Corinthian columns, a ballroom, rose motifs — and far fewer visitors than Ahsan Manzil.
History & significance
Built in the 1890s by the merchant Hrishikesh Das and named for its rose gardens; he later went bankrupt and sold it. The Awami Muslim League was founded on this lawn in 1949. The government acquired and restored the crumbling house from 2018.
