Rupban Mura
রূপবান মুড়া
Opposite Itakhola Mura, on a small hillock, stands this excavated Buddhist structure — many say its layout reminds them of Paharpur. Crowds are almost absent; travellers call it the ideal spot to touch history in silence.
History & significance
A vihara of roughly the 8th century — excavation found a large stone Buddha image and gold coins of the Khadga rulers. The name is tied in folk speech to the love story of Rahim and Rupban, though travellers note there is no archaeological proof linking the tale to the site.
