Thakurpur Jame Mosque (the Jinn Mosque)
ঠাকুরপুর জামে মসজিদ (জিনের মসজিদ)
Just 2 km from Chuadanga town along the Jhenaidah road stands a mosque of about 300 years — known to everyone as 'the Jinn Mosque'. The story goes that Sufi Hazrat Afu Shah, having come from West Bengal, built it in a single night with the help of jinn. Whatever one makes of the legend, the mosque's weathered grace and the big pond in its 30-bigha compound are genuinely worth seeing.

Oral tradition holds that Hazrat Afu Shah founded a khanqah here in 1698 — one traveller notes the annual urs has run for some 300 years. Devotees still offer water and oil as mannat — the custom lives on.
