Jashore IT Park (Software Technology Park)
যশোর আইটি পার্ক
In Nazir Shankar stands the country's first IT park — a multi-storey software building opened in 2017. Tech fans will enjoy the exterior and the grounds, but keep expectations in check: many report there is less to see inside than the name promises. "Big on hope, short on delivery" — that verdict too comes from travellers. There are two main gates at either end, with strict security inside.
History & significance
Bangladesh's first software technology park — its journey began on 5 October 2017, with the formal launch on 10 December that year. Since then it has grown into a centre for ICT training and employment.
How to get there
It is inside Jashore town, in the Nazir Shankar area — any rickshaw or auto reaches it easily.
Entry fee
No verified entry fee yet
Viewing from outside is free; entering the building has rules and a security check.
Opening hours & best time
It is a working facility — best viewed from outside during the day.
Best time
Works any time of year — there is no seasonal angle. As an in-town spot, the building's exterior looks best in the evening light after late afternoon; if you want to go inside, daytime is the safer bet.
Traveller tips
Get security's permission before going in — the security here is strict.
Do not go in with high expectations — several travellers say there is less to see than the name suggests.
