Barishal Launch Terminal

Barishal's gateway on the Kirtankhola — when the huge launches are moored, visitors say it feels like being abroad. The ghat's real beauty appears after dusk when the launches light up. Skip midday sun; come in the late afternoon.
How to get there
By launch from Dhaka, this is where you step ashore (leaving 9 PM, arriving 4–6 AM). From the city it's a rickshaw/auto ride down Band Road; the gate ticket is Tk 10 per person.
