Godkhali — the Flower Kingdom
গদখালি ফুলের রাজ্য
Along the Jashore-Benapole highway in Jhikargachha lies Godkhali — locals call it the "flower kingdom". Rose fields stretch wherever the eye goes, with tuberose and gladiolus alongside. Visitors all repeat the same advice: the scent fills your nose and eyes alike — "if you come to Jashore, you must come to this flower kingdom." A large share of the roses and tuberose sold across the country comes from here.
How to get there
From Jashore, a Benapole-bound local bus or auto — get down at Godkhali bazaar. From Benapole, ৳35 fare from the poura gate takes you straight to the flower fields.

Opening hours & best time

Traveller tips
Never enter a field without permission — and never break the plants.

At the Godkhali flower sales market, morning is when flowers are weighed out in bulk — a scene worth seeing too.
