Jess Garden Park
জেস গার্ডেন পার্ক
Barely 2.5-3 km from Jashore's noise, near Bahadurpur — Jess Garden Park, founded in 1992. An artificial lake, a mini train, a mini zoo, sculptures — around 25 spots in all; Jashore's best address for children. The main attraction is the water park inside — on hot days the splash pool draws the real crowd. Visitors say the shapla and lotus on the lake fill your heart with calm.
History & significance
Founded in 1992, the park spreads over roughly 12 acres — for decades it has been the holiday address of Jashore families. Local and foreign visitors still come, and many simply sit and picnic here.
How to get there
Rickshaw from town ৳30-40; auto from Palbari Mor ৳50 — about a 20-minute ride. From Khelna bus stand, a rickshaw is ৳30. If you drive, parking is right in front of the park.
Entry fee
৳60–300 · traveller-reported
Park entry is ৳60 per person; children under five go free. The water park inside charges separately — ৳300 (it used to be ৳250).
Opening hours & best time
The park is open daily 9 am to 7 pm. The water park runs Saturday-Thursday 10 am-6 pm; on Fridays 10 am-1 pm and 2-6 pm.
Best time
Late afternoon to evening — when the lights come on, the park looks different altogether. Winter is picnic season, so it gets busier then.
