Inani Sea Beach
ইনানী সমুদ্রসৈকত
Some 23–30 km south along Marine Drive — golden sand scattered with black-green coral boulders; many call it 'mini St. Martin'. Regulars say the beach looks its best around tide transitions. Far quieter than the town beach, and the sea is calm.
History & significance
Just inland, the Reju Khal bridge — ferries once crossed here, a memory that surfaces in travellers' accounts; with double-laning underway the single-lane bridge now jams.
How to get there
From Galadali Mor take a local auto (rough road); a full-day reserved auto is 1,500 tk, CNG 2,000–2,500 tk. A chander gari from town runs ~3,500 tk. Arrive in the afternoon and stay for sunset.
Entry fee
৳0 · traveller-reported
Free entry. Kayaking on nearby Reju Khal is 200 tk/person (another account: 250 tk for 30 minutes on a two-seater — the figures don't quite agree). Kids' horse rides bargain to 100 tk. Minutes further, the Bangladesh Navy Jetty — 200 tk per person, shoes off, unlimited time.
Opening hours & best time
No fixed hours — visit in daylight.
Best time
Late afternoon to sunset is best; rows of sampan boats at dusk are Inani's signature scene. Low tide exposes the coral rocks.
Traveller tips
En route at Jhau bon, swings rent for 120 tk/hour; pineapples 10–15 tk each — a Cox's Bazar favourite.
Nearby resorts are pricey with limited rooms — book ahead if you want to stay.
The Navy Jetty may ask for ID at entry — carry it.
