Lalakhal
লালাখাল
On the Shari river toward Jaintiapur, Lalakhal is all about blue-green water so clear it changes colour with the sky. A 45-minute big-boat ride glides between tea gardens and hills on both banks. It sits right beside Jaflong's route, so the two pair naturally in one trip.
How to get there
Take the Jaintiapur road out of Sylhet; the big boat at the ghat is a fixed ৳1,650. The Lalakhal tea garden (Afifanagar Tea Estate) is nearby — boats are available there too, often cheaper.
Entry fee
No verified entry fee yet
No separate entry fee is mentioned — the cost is the boat, a fixed ৳1,650 by most reports.
Opening hours & best time
No fixed hours are reported — boats run in daylight.
Best time
In monsoon the river shows its bluest; travellers commonly cover Jaflong and Lalakhal in the same day.
Traveller tips
Boats from the Afifanagar side often cost less — bargain first.
Jaflong, Sreepur, Tamabil and Lalakhal all lie in the same direction — plan them as one day's route.
Note the boatman's number — it helps you find the boat again in the crowd.
