Mayabi Waterfall
মায়াবী ঝর্ণা
Cross the Piain by boat from Jaflong Zero Point and Mayabi Waterfall waits at the hillside — a tiered hill stream tumbling down from the Khasi-Jaintia ranges. The fall comes alive with the monsoon flow; most visitors see it from the boat, and some take the short trek closer. The name means 'enchanting', and it fits.
How to get there
Take a boat from the zero point — about ৳100 a head local or ৳1,600 reserved; some have gone for as little as ৳30 a head. After the boat there is a short walk through betel gardens. In winter the fall nearly dries up.
Entry fee
৳100–1,600 · traveller-reported
No separate ticket — the boat fare is everything: about ৳100 a head, ৳1,600 for a reserved boat.
Opening hours & best time
No fixed hours are reported — go in daylight.
Best time
The June–September monsoon, when the water still flows — in the dry season many advise skipping it.
Traveller tips
Put on a life jacket in the boat even if you can swim.
Wear walking shoes — the betel-garden path and stones are slippery.
Many have gone after October and found the fall dry — match your trip to the season.
