Shahid Hadis Park

Khulna city's central park beside B.B. Road (PC Roy Road) — a lake, fountains, a Shaheed Minar replica, and evening crowds. Entry is free, so families fill it every evening. Most travellers agree: you can't visit Khulna without a walk here.

Founded in 1884 as Khulna Municipal Park. After Gandhi spoke here on 16 June 1925 it became Gandhi Park, then Jinnah Park after Partition — renamed four times in all. In 1969, after student activist Sheikh Hadisur Rahman Babu was shot dead during a procession on 21 February, the park was named Shahid Hadis Park in his memory.
