Bahadurabad Ghat

A historic rail-ferry terminal on the Jamuna River: in 1912 the railway line was extended from Jamalpur to Bahadurabad Ghat, from where rail ferries crossed to Tistamukh Ghat. The station on the Narayanganj-Bahadurabad Ghat line is now defunct, but the riverside setting and railway heritage still draw history-minded visitors. It is listed among the notable historical sites of Jamalpur district.

Gandhi Ashram, Jamalpur

The historic Gandhi Ashram, founded in 1934, stands on the bank of the Jhenai River about 15 km from Jamalpur town, carrying the memory of Gandhi-inspired rural reconstruction and social work of that era. The calm riverside setting is its main draw today. Check the current condition of the buildings locally before planning a dedicated visit.

Lauchapara Recreation Centre

A popular picnic and recreation spot in Baksiganj Upazila, 50 km north of Jamalpur Sadar, set among hills, forest and a lake. The hill-forest-lake scenery of Lauchapara makes it a known getaway for visitors from within the district. It is busiest during the winter picnic season.
