A Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery of the Second World War, holding 731 Commonwealth burials (17 unidentified) plus 19 Japanese soldiers. A calm, immaculately kept garden cemetery on sloping ground, and one of the city most significant historical sites.

Ethnological Museum

The only ethnological museum in Bangladesh, established in 1965 at Agrabad. Its galleries present the history, dwellings, dress and culture of the country indigenous communities — valuable context before or after a trip to the hill districts.

Foy's Lake

An artificial lake created in 1924 by damming a hill stream to supply water to the railway colony at Pahartali. A lakeside amusement park (run by Concord) and hill scenery now surround it. One of the city main recreation spots.
